MORAN FABRICS
Moran has an extensive range of fabrics, which are specifically selected for use on quality upholstery. Before selecting your cover, we recommend you choose your preferred style of furniture, as not all fabrics are suitable for all applications. Often the shape and style of furniture is paramount to determining what cover will look and perform the best on your new sofa or chair.
On the back of each fabric sample is a label that provides the following details:
- Identification of the fabric name and colourway
- Group number to calculate price
- Width of fabric, pattern repeat, usage, whether the fabric is reversible
- Composition
- Suitability of fabric to the Moran Range (i.e, "not available on loose covers")
The group number listed equates to an easy to follow pricing structure that reflects fabric price per metre, together with yield* from the pattern repeat. (*NB: The fabric pattern influences the amount of fabric needed to correctly cover the sofa or chair.) Compositions
Fabric compositions may be natural fibre, synthetic or blends. Keep in mind, natural fibres may contain characteristics such as cottonseed portions, slubs, etc. These are hallmarks of natural fibres and should not be considered fabric faults. Synthetic and natural blends can improve the wear of the cover.

MORAN LEATHER Natural Characteristics of Leather
Leather is a natural product, every hide has its own unique characteristics. These include:
- Scarring
- Difference in grain structure
- Stretch marks, wrinkles, veins.
- Colour tone variations
Look out for these distinctive features as they are the hallmarks of genuine quality leather. Moran leathers are hand-cut by expert cutters, so you can be assured of quality leather standards from front to back on your furniture. Moran do not compromise leather quality by mixing inferior leathers or leather substitutes on outside panels.
